Sir,
I have the honour to request that steps
may be taken to make known in the United Kingdom the provi-
sions of the regulations made under the Dogs Ordinance publish-
ed in Government Notification No. 175 of 1899, of which I en-
close a copy herewith. Sporting dogs continue to arrive in
the Colony from England, the exporters being apparently ignor-
ant as to the certificates necessary to enable them to be
landed here.
